Japanese Plastering
Traditional Japanese Plastering Workshop 2026
Discover the profound depth of traditional Japanese plastering in this intensive, hands-on 9-day course. Focused on authentic tools and time-honored techniques, this workshop also emphasizes natural, locally sourced materials.
What makes this experience truly unique is how it bridges the worlds of high-level Japanese craftsmanship and western natural building. Together, we will dive into the entire process—from harvesting bamboo for Takekomai lattice and fermenting Arakabe mud, to boiling seaweed for authentic Shikkui lime plaster.
